Wishlist at the Moment

This is my current wishlist for Fall/ Winter this year! This is something I will do a lot on my blog, considering how much I love buying new items for each season! I try to keep the items I buy able to be worn in multiple seasons, especially with a small budget. But sometimes I find some items that I just have to have for a certain season!

The Free People orange dress is so perfect for Fall and it looks so airy and comfortable! I have been dying for a big fur vest for a reasonable price. This BB Dakota faux fur vest is perfect for the upcoming holiday season and I cannot wait to get it and throw it on with a dress to add a pop! The white cocktail dress is perfect because it is pretty without adding too much. You could still dress it up with jewelry or down more depending on what you want to wear it for. The sleeveless sweater is great because you can wear it with shorts or denim before it gets colder, or throw on a leather jacket with it and it is way more comfortable than shoving a sweater into a leather jacket- real world problems- haha. I love the off the shoulder sweater because it is perfect to throw on with leather leggings and over the knee boots. It looks like such a edgy, chic outfit without really putting in any effort and honestly who doesn't love that? The pink cashmere scarf is adorable. I have wanted a light pink scarf to throw on to add a pop to an all black outfit this Winter. It comes in many different colors, but blush has become my new addiction. Lastly, the black sweater dress is great for these upcoming months. The cutout allows the dress to not feel so stuffy and add some sass to a simple sweater dress.

(Also I really apologize for doing this backwards- haha- I know the descriptions go in the opposite way of the pictures, but I figured it would be easier to scroll up if I started at the bottom.)

I hope everyone is having a great week! I am sure I will have another wishlist very, very soon!!

Inspiration for my Bedroom

In the house I am living in next year, my fourth year of college, my room is a lot bigger than I have had for the last two years in my apartment. With this next room I plan on starting to add aspects that I would want in my apartment after college. College is a weird time where we are technically adults but still do not have the money adults with jobs have. It is hard to keep everything completely together, especially in my home.

As of now I have a clothing rack that is going to follow me from apartment to house until I have a walk in closet- haha. So I have to find a way to make sure it still looks acceptable in my bedroom, even though no matter what I still need the clothing rack haha.

These are the inspirations I have found for my room next year. This year I bought a large floor length mirror. The two main pieces of furniture I want are a console table for the bottom of my bed and a large ottoman for the middle of my room.

I have always been a lover of white bedding, but in college, where basically my bed is the place I spend most of my time, it has been a far off wish. I have a pink and green comforter that I think I am going to keep for the next year, and just invest in a nice one after college. So mainly my room will have a lot of different aspects to it but it will all be apart of a plan!

I'll be sure to share my current room set up soon!

Fall in Summer Weather

(Top: Nordstrom, Jeans: Similar, Sandals: Jack Rogers, Sunglasses: Ray Ban)

Happy Wednesday!

This Thursday is the first day of Fall but with Virginia weather, it really does not get here until the middle of October, sometimes it is still hot on Halloween even- haha. Dressing for the season is always something I strive for but honestly your girl gets hot when walking to class in 90 degree weather!

There are many ways to be comfortable with the weather and still look cute for the season. The first thing I always think helps is the colors you wear. This orange tank is the perfect color for Fall even if it is a tank top for Summer. When pairing it will a designed pair of jeans it adds a little bit of a summer look while still wearing jeans.

Another way is to wear open toed booties with shorts and a flowy quarter sleeve t-shirt. It is such a cute way to add a different aspect to a look and still be fairly comfortable. When it gets a little cooler you could wear normal chunky heeled booties and a long sleeve t-shirt.

And lastly, my favorite way to work a tank top dress when it is technically Fall is a summer tank top dress in a color like red or orange with booties. It is so easy and you can throw a Fall jacket over it when the air conditioning is blasting inside- haha.

Who else is hoping that Fall finally comes this week?! Crossing my fingers!

Booties for Fall

(Aldo)

Booties are my favorite thing to buy in the Fall. Actually, really for any season- haha. Beige booties are something I see that you can wear during any season but sometimes I need different colors to change things up.

Both Sole Society booties have different traits I love. The coffee suede colored booties are a very cute pair of basic booties. They will go with almost everything and add a chic statement to every look. These could be worn with a shift dress or jeans, a blouse, and vest this Fall. The taupe booties are adorable with the tassel on the side and make more of a statement when worn. I would pair these with a dark jeans and a flowy sweater for the Fall.

The Aldo grey booties caught my eye this summer and I have not been able to get them out of my mind ever since. The grey is different than what most people have and I love that about them.

The Steve Madden black booties with the gold heel are to die for. These are my favorite booties for Fall and Winter. They are the perfect height so you can wear them with pants or skirts and tights. The gold gives a unique aspect than other black booties have.

The Steve Madden burgundy booties are such an adorable color that is perfect for Fall.  They are dark enough that you will never have to worry about getting them dirty and the heel is short enough so they are comfortable.

A lot of the booties I like are the same brands-haha. Booties are my favorite thing to buy and every season there are new ones I want! Especially heeled booties (they're my guilty pleasure).

Have a good Monday everyone!

Heels

(Dress: BCBG, Shoes: Sole Society, Cross body: Similar, Sunglasses: Ray Ban, Watch: Michael Kors)

Being in college has left any shoe that is heeled in my closet a lot more than they would be before college! In high school I wore heeled booties all the time. Now that I walk everywhere I go, anything other than running shoes sounds really dreadful and unfortunate! Workout clothes have basically become my uniform for classes since that is the only way I can force myself to go to the gym everyday-haha, but I also still enjoy getting dressed up for birthday dinners, going out with friends, and even just for a day I know I will be driving more than usual.

Heels are always my favorite part of my outfit, which is why it is so upsetting that I really have to plan my day/night when I want to wear them! I have come to the fact that I have to be careful about which heels to buy now. Before college, I would have thought, "beauty is pain" to myself, but now I am well aware that I will not wear something as much as I should if I am not completely comfortable in it.

This little white dress and strappy sandals are my go to for a dressy night while it's still hot out! The shoes are comfortable enough where I am okay wearing them all night! They add a touch of sass to every look and many combinations have already come to mind while transitioning into Fall! This dress is a staple that is unique enough to turn some heads. The architecture of the dress adds a sleek look while still looking edgy. This is such an easy and comfortable look that is trendy and chic!

Happy hump day!!

By starting this blog I am hoping to keep my day-to-day life more organized and help others keep their lives in order too! I have found that routine is necessary for me to keep my word to myself about taking care of my body and life. This includes exercise, eating, schoolwork, organization, and fashion.  When my life is not in sorts, I have trouble keeping up with a healthy lifestyle. I hope what I share with you all encourages the same type of order in your lives!

On this blog I will talk about…
Dressing for an everyday lifestyle
Organizing life and health
Tips for home spaces

I am sure I will adjust as a go and probably have some posts that have nothing to do with these topics but I am super excited to be able to share my tips on how I stay sane and enjoy a healthy lifestyle!

A few things about me now…

I love fashion and everything that has to do with style. Searching for new trends and looks has become something I do in my spare time and something that I actually have a knack for (I hope you all agree-haha).

Describing my style is something I always struggle with because it is always changing! I enjoy all sorts of different styles and you will find that I have different aspects to of each style in the outfits I share. In general, I usually consider my style classic chic though.

Being a college students means that I often do not get up early enough to put on heeled booties and makeup before class everyday, but I have found that it makes me enjoy it even more when I do! There will be days when a T-shirt and running shorts is my ensemble and others when I dress up for no reason! It's all about balance- haha- and really it's what college is all about!

I am very excited to share my love of fashion and life on here! I hope you are all excited too!

Happy Labor Day!!
